Long-term rates steady

Long-term mortgage interest rates stayed mostly stable on Thursday, as the Dow Jones continued to sink and Nasdaq kept climbing The 30-year fixed-rate average rose slightly to 8.06 percent, while the 15-year fixed-rate average remained at 7.64 percent. The 1-year adjustable stayed steady at 6.55 percent.
